At CLS Living, we’re committed to building strong teams that support our communities and residents. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Utility Analyst to support utility billing operations across our growing portfolio of apartment communities. In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining accurate and efficient utility billing, analyzing account data, and assisting property teams with billing-related questions and resolutions.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, solving problems, and collaborating across teams. You will partner with property teams, vendors, and internal departments to review billing activity, investigate discrepancies, and help ensure a smooth and reliable billing process across CLS Living communities.

What You'll Do
Utility Billing & Account Analysis
Review monthly utility billing data for accuracy and completeness across multiple communities.
Identify discrepancies, unusual charges, or billing variances, and assist in resolving them.
Support the processing of resident utility charges and account adjustments when needed.
Assist with reviewing and reconciling past-due balances or unapplied payments.
Support Property Teams & Residents
Partner with on-site teams to research and resolve utility billing questions.
Assist with billing inquiries related to move-ins, move-outs, and resident account activity.
Provide timely research and support to ensure a positive resident experience.
Vendor & System Coordination
Work with third-party utility vendors to investigate billing discrepancies or account issues.
Help ensure accurate data flow between vendors, billing platforms, and property management systems.
Communicate updates or process improvements to internal teams when needed.
Reporting & Insights
Monitor utility billing trends and identify opportunities for improved accuracy or efficiency.
Assist in preparing reports and summaries related to utility billing activity.
Track account activity and help maintain accurate utility records across the portfolio.
Process Improvement
Help improve and maintain documentation for utility billing processes and procedures.
Support operational improvements that streamline billing workflows and reporting.
Assist with special projects related to utility operations and billing support.
The activities listed above may not be all -inclusive.
2+ years of experience in utility billing, property management operations, accounting support, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret data.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
Experience with Entrata or a similar property management system is a plus.
Proficiency with Excel or data analysis tools is preferred.
