CLS Living is seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Bookkeeper to support a portfolio of NYC properties. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in property accounting while gaining hands-on experience in multifamily operations. The primary focus of this position is to assist with day-to-day financial activities and reporting for the NYC assets while partnering closely with the Property Manager and accounting team to support overall property operations.
In addition to supporting the NYC portfolio, this individual will collaborate with the Corporate Controller and the CLS property accounting team on various accounting and administrative support duties at the Austin Corporate Office. Based on experience and business needs, the role may expand to include support for additional properties to ensure full-time capacity and continued professional development.
Assist with daily financial transactions and data entry
Process accounts payable and help ensure timely vendor payments
Support accounts receivable functions, including posting rent payments
Assist with bank reconciliations
Help prepare monthly financial reports
Support month-end close processes
Maintain organized and accurate financial records
Assist in preparing monthly reporting packages
Help track expenses and support basic budget reporting
Ensure documentation is maintained in compliance with company policies
Provide support during audits and year-end processes
Partner with onsite management and accounting leadership
Work closely with the Corporate Controller and property accounting team on special projects
Provide financial and administrative support to property teams
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support professional growth
