Responsibilities

The Job At-A-Glance:

We are seeking an Analyst to join our Business Development team. The Analyst will support the procurement of new business opportunities and assist with key deliverables across acquisitions, underwriting, market analysis, and strategic initiatives. This role provides a great opportunity for career growth within a dynamic and expanding company.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tactics to achieve company goals and growth objectives
  • Execute business development strategies to identify potential clients, brokers, and acquisitions
  • Underwrite new management opportunities to ensure sound and mutually beneficial business terms
  • Develop pitch materials in collaboration with internal departments and on-site operations teams
  • Analyze target markets, growth opportunities, and asset potential
  • Create pro forma budgets and income & expense projections
  • Conduct property performance and NOI optimization analysis
  • Prepare comprehensive market surveys and rental rate evaluations
  • Maintain a financial and operational database for internal tracking
  • Analyze market trends, resident demographics, and competitive positioning
  • Identify value-add opportunities and recommend strategic initiatives
  • Assist with underwriting and due diligence for acquisitions or new management contracts
  • Support KPI development and tracking
  • Conduct competitive analysis of property interiors, amenities, and resident services
  • Provide analysis of property staffing, payroll, and operational programming (utilities, trash, internet, etc.)
  • Identify potential business development contacts and coordinate outreach
  • Research conference attendance lists and assist with scheduling business development meetings
  • Review and analyze T12s and provide side-by-side comparisons
  • Prepare presentations and reporting materials (PowerPoint proficiency required)

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related Business field
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and financial modeling
  • CRM and analytic tools experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of GAAP principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Yardi and/or Entrata experience preferred
  • Understanding of multifamily and student housing operations is a plus
  • Available for limited travel as needed
