Responsibilities

The Job At-A- Glance:

We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join our payroll team.  This is a full time, temporary position. The Payroll Coordinator will serve as point of contact with payroll processing system and ensures all employee changes and data (new hires, compensation changes, terminations) are accurately tracked and processed, as well as maintaining confidentiality. 

Reporting to the Director of Payroll & Benefits, this position will be responsible for supporting the payroll needs of the organization.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Setup and review background and drug screenings.
  • Process biweekly property payroll.
  • Process monthly commissions and any additional payroll batches.
  • Calculates vacation and sick leave payouts for terminations or employees changing status. 
  • Post positions on the company website or LinkedIn and monitor applications.
  • Track open/filled positions. 
  • Support properties by answering any HR, benefits, or payroll related questions.
  • Run miscellaneous HR reports that may be requested by other departments.
  • Assist with audit requests and other special projects, as assigned. 
  • Initiates payroll processing quality assurance reviews, identifies training issues and/or problem prone processes to ensure optimal efficiency and error-free operations.

  • A Bachelor’s degree; or 3-5 years’ experience in student housing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll procedures and related laws – multi state helpful 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization and critical thinking/problem solving skills. 
  • Must have great communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels. 
  • Proven ability to make judgment calls and sound-ethical decisions displaying a heightened level of responsibility, confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload, and effectively delegate. 
  • Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with data, and communicating data findings. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Scheduling Software). Ability to learn other functional software. 
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team.

Pay Range

USD $30.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.
